Five New Family Members!
Of the fishy variety. I used to say “Fish are silly pets” and “Fish are boring”. That was before the first fish arrived. That first morning I sat by the tank - utterly mesmerised - watching the little critters swimming up and down and all around. I marvelled that God cared enough to make these little guys, and to paint them so lovingly. So we’ve had fish for about three years.
Our oldest fish “Red” a pretty tetra finally passed away (and yes, we’ve been heartbroken at the passing of pet fish) last summer. We left the tank empty and kept saying, when things quiet down a bit, we’ll get more. In the intirim, Brian trained Cate to check the chemicals and taught her about fish care and tank cleaning. This afternoon we welcomed two new red tetras, two gorgeous green tetras and one cory that I have named “Fudge”. My favorite fish was our first cory “Smoochy”. I about broke my heart when he died. Cate told me I could name the new one. Sweet girl!
