Fifth Sentence Meme
I just saw the meme at both Mary Ellen’s and Dawn’s. It looked like fun, so I thought I’d give it a try.
Grab the nearest book.
1. Open it to page 161.
2. Find the fifth full sentence.
3. Post the text of the sentence along with these instructions.
4. Don’t search around looking for the coolest book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.
Ok… So I opened up my copy of Emily Post’s Book of Etiquette (brushing up for work and some lessons I’m putting together).
“Dear Bill, I have thought a lot about our talk the night we met - some interesting ideas there.”
… In the section about single women extending written invitations to men (dating). The note ends “Would you like to pursue them over dinner one night next week?”
I wonder what Bill will reply?

This is darling! I am reading “Story’s Guide to Raising Chickens” as I have my sweet peeps brooding in the basement. The fifth full sentence on page 161 is, “Process eggs the day they are laid.”
Good advice.
