The Goat Barn…
Is finally here! The boys (Morgan and Elliot) will hopefully be home this weekend.
Preparing the site:

The girls are supervising the progress:

The Barn arrives:

And is gingerly placed on it’s pad of crushed stone:

Voila! The barn is leveled and safely shored up underneath:

Next tasks are to cut a chicken door, construct the inside pen for the wethers, and paint the exterior to match the house (which is corn silk yellow).

Congrats on the goat barn! I see your small fenced paddock and just wanted to offer some advice from a prior experience! If your fenced area is for chickens, it should be fine. However, your goats will clear that fence in no time! Goats are notorius jumpers. An old farmer once told me that if a fence can’t hold water, it can’t hold goats.
Good luck with your new kids!
