I am loved…
It’s been a trying day. The kind of day when you really need the support of your friends. And I have the most wonderful friends in the world. I have been receiving the most beautiful, uplifting messages from them and am feeling their prayers surround my family.
A few minutes ago, there was a knock on the door. I honestly thought “Oh, Lord… Please let it be good news. I’ve had all the challenge I can pray on for a day”. And then I opened the door. And it was my neighbor Kathy with the most luscious arrangement of roses from my dear friend Jennifer. They are the color of new beginnings, they are 12 perfect pearls that remind me that those gates of Heaven are my goal, not any Earthly pursuit.
Jen’s message is an unction for my soul and the butterfly attached to the card reminds me that we will come through this temporary difficulty just as surely as He rose on the third day.
Yes, I am truly loved. I am blessed to have friends. They are gifts, they are sent to help each soul on its way Home.

Oh, my friend–I only wish that I could give you a hug in person. You’re such a good egg; I’m confident that the Lord’s got big things coming for you!

Nissa! We will keep your family in our prayers. I saw your latest blog post and it really hit home– we, too, have had some trying times lately, and this very same passage of which your friend Jen reminded you, has been echoing in my head lately. Funny, how you read it as a child, committed it to memory, sing it in hymns, and then one day it all makes sense. Busy folks like us, moms who need to be in control have difficulty being STILL. I will pray for stillness for both of us.

Just checking in on you since I haven’t seen you post on Take Peace lately. Hope your Sophie is on the mend and we will pray for your family and your husband’s work. It is always had to know what the Lord is doing but keep Jeremiah 29:11 close to your heart:-)
Your friend sounds like a real gem who knows how to minister to you at the right time, isn’t it like the Lord to bless us with those kind of friends–he is soooo faithful!
