I received a message from my mum today. She lives just about 2 miles along the road from me. There was an accident this morning just in front of their home, where the road both dips and curves. The sleet and freezing rain overnight made our roads very slick this morning. Unfortunately, our town is often slow to plow and sand, especially on the secondary roads. After a fall of snow or ice, it is frequently afternoon before vehicles get out to clear.

Please pray for the young man killed, for his younger brother, who was driving, and for their entire family.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon him
May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.
