Hello!
I have never met another person, until now, with this name except for my daughter. Nissa is her middle name, and at the time of naming her I found that Nissa had the meaning of being at the front or beginning of something. I took the meaning to be “new beginning”. She is my first child, and it rolled along easily with her first name, so she obtained the name.
I found it in a baby name book, and is derived from the Greek Language.
